Texas Citrus Fiesta

The Texas Citrus Fista is a festival that started in 1932 by Paul Ord and The Young Men’s Business League to promote and spread the word of the pride of the Rio Grande Valley “The Citrus Industry” and its bountiful winter harvest. Only in the Rio Grande Valley Texas can you find groves of citrus trees filled with oranges, lemons and our world famous RED grapefruits. Our grapefruits have the deepest rose toned flesh that labels them as red, so sweet that no sugar needs to be added. Our Grapefruits are the pride of our growers in the Rio Grande Valley & the State of Texas none others in our country have been able to compare to these. 1 full year is needed to prepare for an event this size starting with the dignitary invitations, sponsorships, pre-pageants, applications and marketing all require pre- planning.
